Tainan. Sunny. 32°C.
6:30a.m. Alexander woke up very chatty this morning and then proceeded to open a bag full of plastic building blocks and empty the contents all across the floor. He stood over the achievement quite proud of himself.
7:00 a.m. Time for Alexander’s morning bottle feed. That quickly got him away from further mischief.
8:00 a.m. Took Alexander to his daycare. No problems.
10:30 a.m. Departed for Tainan. Start at 2 p.m. but I want to take it easy today and not rush. I’ve pretty much always been an ‘early bird’. I don’t like last-minute dashes. It totally unsettles me.
12:00 pm. Arrived in Tainan and had lunch at the corner Family Mart store. Chicken curry rice. Cheap meals for rest of the week. I had to request an advance salary payment yesterday for $2000 NT. Completely ran out of cash this week. A nuisance falling short, mostly due to the typhoon completely erasing my private students I have on weekends. They are an important part of cash flow during low months. So I dread typhoons and national holidays.
2:00 p.m. 1st class for the day. E3 (Elementary year 3)
4:00 p.m. 2nd class today is Samuel. Today we are continuing to study for his GEPT in October.
5:00 p.m.. 3rd Class for the day is Anli. Very proud of Anli. She has made a lot of progress since I first started teaching her at 6. Now she is 9 and her English comprehension is remarkable for her age group. Good Job!
6:00 p.m. Time to go home.
8:00 p.m. Arrived home feeling a little drained. Got a steak dinner for Chia but I decided to settle with peanut butter and strawberry jam sandwiches and a cup of hot milk tea.
