7:00 a.m. woke Mum and Dad and got them dumplings for breakfast.
8:00 a.m. Took Alexander to daycare and then headed for the local MRT station on scooter. Chia took mum and dad rode with me.
830 a.m. We caught the MRT (subway) to Zuoying HSR station.
9:00 a.m. Boarded the HSR to go to Tainan. Tainan is a 12 minute trip by bullet train from Kaohsiung.
9:30 a.m. Jumped on a local train from the HSR station in Guiren district to Tainan train station in the heart of the city.
9:45 a.m. Arrived at Tainan train station and walked across the road to the bus stop. We need to catch a local bus to go to the Anping harbor district.
10:00 a.m. Caught the Anping 88 city bus to the World War II destroyer 925 which is now a Navy Destroyer Museum.
11:00 p.m. Took a taxi to the Anping fort that was built by the Dutch. After touring the grounds and several photos later we pressed a souvenir coin.
1:00 p.m. Taxi back to Tainan station. We had lunch in the Fe21 department store opposite the train station.
1:20 p.m. Mum and Dad ate Japanese beef noodles. I settled for a Big Mac, which obviously isn’t great. But it was cheaper and I was hungry.
2:30 p.m. Walked through the university markets and stopped for a rest in a local Subway sandwich store, halfway between the train station and my school.
3:15 p.m. Walked from the subway store to my school. While dad had a sleep, Mum read the newspaper and I grabbed some snacks from the nearby supermarket. Then prepared for class.
5:00 p.m. Young learners class. Mum and Dad got to experience a Taiwanese English language class with some laughs and silly antics.
6:30 p.m. Taxi back to the Tainan HSR. We were planning to take a local train home but getting a bit busy now and it will be too crowded on the train. Which means delays. So bullet train it is.

7:50 p.m. Arrived at Sanduo MRT station (which is near the 85 Skytower) where Chia was waiting with her scooter to take Mum home. I took Dad home.
8:15 p.m. Mum needed some collection of photos developed from a memory card she brought from Australia. So I took it to a Kodak photographic shop to order some 5×7 prints. She had over 200 photos to print, which in Australia would be very expensive I’d imagine. I will pick them up tomorrow after work.
8:30 p.m. Grabbed a couple of beers on the way back home. American beer called “Busch” which is light tasting and pleasant. My parents haven’t tasted that before and quite enjoyed it.
