7:30 a.m. Difficult morning. Chia had already gone to work and dad was knocked out. Had to get Alexander ready for kindergarten. Dressing a child who doesn’t want to go to school with one hand is torturing. Then carrying a screaming and kicking child, who is rather strong, down the street under one arm with a tiny kids back pack strangling your shoulders is humiliating to say the least. My goodness I was glad to see the teacher come outside and take Alexander inside. I was worn out and the morning had just started.
7:50 a.m. Rode my motor scooter to the local MRT station and then took the MRT to Zuoying train station.
8:10 a.m. Express train from Zuoying to Tainan.
8:30 a.m. Arrived in Tainan. It had been raining here. But the sun has come out to steam up the place a little.
8:59 a.m. Stopped at a 7-11 convenience store and had some breakfast. 1 bottle of Orange juice and 2 sushi rolls.
9:12 a.m. That rain I spoke of has returned. I’ll wait it out in the convenience store as its rather heavy at the moment.
10:00 a.m. Mia’s house. Time for her class after was it 2 or 3 weeks vacation? Can’t remember. Good to see her and teach again. However with the new school year approaching there won’t be another class until 2 more weeks. Many students do an orientation day before starting school. Mia’s is next weekend.
12:15 p.m. After Mia class I walked back toward the computer shops near Tainan station.
1:00 p.m. Dropped by the shoebox sized electronic components store near Tainan station that I found the other day. Bought some black conputer fan mesh for the Bumble Bee box I’m working on. At the moment you can see the components inside through the speaker grill (as it is a box designed for transistor radios) so I needed something to block it but still allow airflow. The solution was mesh they use on computer cases to stop dust and bugs from entering but allowing airflow from cooling fans. Other stores dont seem to stock this particular item. So finding this in the shoebox components store has already been a benefit. Nice.
2:15 p.m. Express train to Zuoying station in Kaohsiung.
3:00 p.m. Zuoying MRT to home MRT station.
7:30 p.m. Received an end of the day order for 3 books. My first order from the United Kingdom.
8:30 p.m. After packing the UK order I did a scooter trip to the general post office. The postage was about a little more than postage to Australia, but not expensive. That’s good. On friday night’s the general post office closes at 9 p.m.
11:00 p.m. Received a call from Cedric, the online business guy from Taipei. He’s downstairs at his cousin’s home. So I went down to say hello. We will have a business discussion tomorrow afternoon.
