The Ghostbusters. ‘Ray’ wears a pair of Ecto Goggles, similiar to the magnification goggles I started wearing today so I can work properly with small circuitry. Cool, I’m almost a ghostbuster.

Tuesday.

Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

7:30 a.m. Sleep in. Alexander didn’t wake me up this morning. Managed to do that myself (for a change). Not that Alex wasn’t awake. He was just busy directing morning traffic. Another pile up across the bedroom floor. Looks like a 747 jet is the culprit. Hmm interesting.

8:30 a.m. Took Alexander to Kindergarten. No rush. I don’t work today, only on my electronics, so taking it easy.

9:00 a.m. Working on another Bumble Bee unit. Doing it a bit differently today. After I finished my English classes last night I dropped into the local electronics store and bought a pair of magnified goggles with a light and switchable lenses. Now I look like a Ghostbusters. But the view looking down at the circuit board I am soldering is wicked. I can see great detail, even specs of dust that have annoyingly settled into the grooves between solder mounds. Which I quickly remove with a pair of needle tipped twisters that appear the size of my fingers. Very cool. I bought these goggles to eradicate the constant need of switching from my reading glasses to a large magnifying glass that i had to continuously adjust up or down, left or right to see what i was doing on the circuit board. Which also consumed too much time messing around. Now, I place on this magnifying goggle headset i bought, flip down a lens or two and look at the circuit board and start working. Oh, what a difference.

Speaking of Ghostbusters I have been thinking about creating a new product. A little handheld black box that detects Electro Magnetic Frequencies. EMF detectors are used by real ghost hunters to detect ‘ghosts’ believe it or not. It makes sense. Technically if ghosts were real they would emit some kind of electro magnetic field being energy creatures. So who knows. It might be worth looking into for  some extra dollars.

11:30 a.m. Finished another bumble bee. Great. I’ve got a few in reserve now. But the orders for the past week have gone silent. Waiting, waiting. Bound to get another soon as the number of people watching it have increased. I suspect the ‘watchers’ are waiting for ebay to give away their month discount coupons. They do that. Doesnt affect me, but saves some money of would be buyers. Usually 10%. So, I’ll have to wait.

5:00 p.m. Dad picked up Alexander this afternoon while I prepared his dinner and ran the bath.

7:00 p.m. Laundromat. Weekly washing time. I usually do this on Sundays. But no time until now. Life is a laundry.
