It was a very busy yet productive weekend. I had to build on demand (as my backup stock had already sold out) 3 bumble bees and 1 Electronics Kit. All paid for and needed to be sent today. So, apart from a refreshing break during a Skype chat with Mum and Dad on Sunday afternoon, every other hour has been at my work desk. With maybe a few tea and biscuit breaks in between. Tonight and tomorrow will be no different as I build some extra Bumble Bee units for on shelf stock. Then maybe I can c continue building my new device The “EMF Phantom I.” Which after revealing to Mum and Dad on Skype yesterday got the response from Dad: “I think that might sell well.” Which is what he said about the Bumble Bee too and that is selling well. In fact 22 Bumble Bees have now been sold within only 2 months. I am quiet surprised myself. Obviously it is a very needed device for the people seeking alternative therapies at a reasonable price. I am sure it will continue to sell well, as long as I can keep up to pace with demand.
The Bumble Bee was taking about 4 to 5 hours to build. But thanks to purchasing some serious professional equipment like the soldering iron station I’ve reduced production time to around 2 to 3 hours. I could further reduce it by manufacturing my own custom etched circuit boards instead of manually tracing the circuits on perfboard. It could reduce production time to less than 2 hours per unit. A huge advance in time. However this requires using etching chemicals and doing that in the living room is NOT a good idea. So I’m going to have to put that goal aside for now.
8:30 a.m. Headed off to the post office. Sent a Bumble Bee to the uk. Tomorrow I will send three more. Then I will work like crazy to prepare some more units.
11:30 a.m. Headed off to Tainan. I have Ariel’s class at 2:30 p.m.
1:30 p.m. Stopped for lunch.
2:30 p.m. Ariel’s Class. Taught Ariel a new game today called ‘Fish’. It is very simple to play as you may or may not know. But very effective in teaching langauge through the use of pictures and asking questions. And she enjoyed it very much, especially when she always seemed to win of course.
5:30 p.m. Arrived at Murphy’s house. Waited for them to get back from school then we all had dinner together and onto or classes. There is a gaming crazy at the moment called ‘Minecraft’ and tonight I got a lesson in how to play. Yet another fairly simplistic game but fun for kids to play, and probably adults too!”
8:00 p.m. Class is over and I’m going home. Getting a bit colder now so it was on with a thick winter jacket and off on my scooter back to Kaohsiung.
10:00 p.m. Stopped at the Electronics store before I went home. I bought a bag full of Bumble Bee building supplies. In hope that sales will continue as well as they are at the moment. Been seriously considering getting an etching tank to make professional quality PC boards in order to speed up the manufacturing process. But a little reluctant to spend the extra cash just yet. Plus need to plan a good place to set it up at home so that it is out the Alex and the damn cat’s reaches.
10:30 p.m. arrived home. Time for Bed.
